The day after Halloween, we all slept in to recover. And then we decided to do a little shopping with Grandma. Tyler had to leave that afternoon for Montreal, so the shopping needed to be done in the morning.
We headed to Old Navy, where Grandma spoiled the kids with new clothes, and then to HomeSense, where she bought us some decorative things for our home for my birthday. I LOVE HomeSense. Seriously, I like the look of stuff there, and it is just SO affordable. Now I have pictures on my walls, and things on my ledges. Lovely.
Tyler spent the next few days in Montreal, and we spent time with Grandma. Lucy and Grandma had a trip to Chapters together (Max and Logan and I stayed home, because Max was having some issues with screaming and not listening...). They got Lucy some more fairy books, had dinner and went to the Marble Slab for dessert.
On Wednesday, we went to the park all morning and saw some fighter jets fly overhead. So cool. That evening, we went to Beadapolooza to make necklaces for cousins Sarah, and Jacob, and Lucy made a pretty bracelet for Grandma, and then we went to Boston Pizza for dinner...because the kids just LOVE Boston Pizza.
Thursday was spent playing games with Grandma before she had to leave for Toronto to fly home.
It was hard to say goodbye. It's so wonderful to share our home and our lives with our people. Now they can see that we're doing well. Functioning, and thriving.
Grandma left with big hugs and promises of seeing each other in 44 days. We can't wait!
Tyler had the opportunity to go on exchanges with one of his Young Men from Cochrane who is serving in Montreal currently. He had dinner at fancy restaurants, and took a picture of this sign to Chateauguay...where my Grandparents used to live.
