Since Then...

Sickness has struck again.  2pm.  Wednesday July 3rd.  Blerg!  The puke started...and didn't stop for 24 hours.  Poor boy...doesn't want to admit he's sick.

We've fun in betwixt though.  Dice game for washing dishes.  Rolling doubles means you have to wash dishes...he was so disappointed when he didn't get doubles.

Plus, lots of movie watching, napping, and toast.

Lucy's American Girl doll came in the mail and she is perfect.  Lucy has already named her Melody and changed her clothes 3 times in about 20 minutes.  She sleeps on the floor in Lucy's room in a pile of pillows and blankets and gets her hair brushed and styled every morning...which is more that what we can say for Lucy!

And this guy scored 4 goals in his soccer game last night!

And today...today the sickness seems to have left.  Logan slept till 10am, and has been bouncing off the walls since then.

So we slip n' slide.

Canada Day

I love a long weekend.  Especially one that includes fireworks, and food.

We all slept in today and got ourselves ready for Lucy's Canada Day soccer tournament.  The weather was great - a little cloudy so it wasn't too hot to sit on the field and watch 2 games.

They also had firetrucks set up for the kids to check out, a cookie decorating station, and face painting.  It was easy to stay entertained. Plus, good friends always help.

Lucy's team won both of their games by a long shot.  Medals for everyone!

Plus a picture with the trophy.

After soccer we went to our friends for a dip in the pool.  It was cold, but Lucy stuck it out the longest. Then we had BBQ dinner and watched movies while we waited for Fireworks.

I love fireworks.  I love EVERYTHING about fireworks.  The lights, the darkness, the loud bang.  The colors.  Everything.  And I love that my kids are finally old enough to enjoy fireworks with me.

Happy Canada Day!
