Max's Easy Breezy Birthday Party

Seriously, I had the brilliant (and I'll be it unoriginal) idea to just book Max's birthday party at a location where they would take care of everything, so I would have less stress and could just ENJOY the party this year.  It was perfect.  It was awesome.  I loved it.  Only downside?  My anal-minded self had nightmares two nights in a row leading up to the party stressing about things going wrong because I wasn't the one 'in charge' of all the details.  Seriously, I think I have a disorder.  But this disorder has only been revealed since I've been a mother.  Who knew?  (Please don't answer that question if you did know).

We booked Max's party at a bowling alley close to our house.  They provided the game, drinks, hot dogs, balloons and a decorated 'party room' for after the bowling where we could eat and open presents.  Seriously, no thought required.  Loved it!  And more importantly, Max loved it.

And of course, because I just HAVE to plan something, I invited all the friends back to our house so the adults could have something to eat (because bowling alley hot dogs are just not my cup of tea...or bowl of chilli in this case).

Love my big almost-6-years-old boy!

Logan Sings Thneedville

Logan loves this song. We hear it all the time. But when he lip syncs nobody cares that we've heard this song a thousand times.

March Break - so far

FHE on Baptism.  Seriously, I've been waiting for this moment ever since I even THOUGHT about having kids.  Practicing baptism with dad.  Awesome.

And naturally, practicing for baptism leads to a game of Limbo.

Today, I signed the kids up for a craft camp at Michael's for the morning.  So while they got their painting, snacking and face-painting on, Logan and I perused Michaels, Sport Mart and HomeSense.  For 2 hours.  They had fun.  Logan and I were tired by the end.  But it's fun to fill our days of with things we don't usually get to do.
