New Orleans

Tyler was away this week at a conference in New Orleans.  We really tried everything we could think of for me to be able to go with him, but it just didn't work out that way.  His sister just had a baby and so his mom was with her, helping her out, and my mom was applying for a new job and couldn't take the time off.  Bummer.  So he went.  I stayed.  He reassures me that the same conference will be happening next year in Ottawa (big deal) but in 2 years it's in New York City and the hotel the conference is at is in Times Square.  Seriously, 2 years can't go by faster!  Plus, the conference is at the end of November.  2 days before Thanksgiving.  So we will be (or can plan to be) in New York for the Thanksgiving Day parade!  amazing!  I'm envisioning broadway shows and shopping and sight-seeing.  Ooh baby!  And the year after that it's in Cancun.

Anyway, in the meantime, Tyler had a good time in New Orleans.  He went to a basketball game; a Bayou boat tour; a Voodoo tour; and ate an alligator burger.

And he brought home souvenirs.
