Happy Time

Here are some pictures of Max in his favorite place...the tubbie.   When I'm filling the tub he tries to climb in fully clothed - this happens every night.  He likes it most especially when his sister plays games with him and makes him laugh.  In this instance, she was putting bubbles all over him to make him look like Santa.  And yes, we do have a pink tub.  These pictures were taken this year, not in the early 70s.

Acres of Fun

We took an impromptu trip to Butterfield acres to see what the kids thought of all the animals.  With the colony we now have living on the Williamson's property, Tyler's parents have been talking about getting some animals to help cut the cost of groceries.  Lucy has been very excited about having baby chicks come live at our house, but she is often excited about something in her mind, but when it comes to the actual realization of it, she can be quite timid.  We thought a trip to Butterfield Acres would let us know just how she would do being surrounded by lots of animals and not just lots of people.  

We ended up spending 3 hours there and were never bored once.  The kids could have stayed even longer if our legs could only sustain us.  

They each got to ride on the pony and pet more animals than we could even count.  

Lucy, as per usual, was timid but really liked seeing all the animals and especially loved the baby chicks.  

Max was fearless and sat down with all the animals so he could be at eye level.  

The only time he got a little unsure was when the piglets started sucking on his fingers.  

He cried for a moment and was happy and onto the next thing in no time.  

His favorite part was riding on the big green tractor, "oliver" and he got very upset when he had to give his sister a turn.

It was a bit pricey to visit, but totally worth it.  We bought a seasons pass so we can go back again and again. 

 We were also fortunate to see the "Steven Tyler" of Roosters.

Sincerest Apologies

I would just like to apologize to all of my fans for not being up-to-date on my blogging. With the iPhoto feature not working on my laptop, I have not been able to download pictures easily, and with Tyler's laptop with him almost 24/7, it leaves me little time for blogging. For any updates, you can always go to Mike and Tam-e's blog, because they seem to keep pretty up-to-date on their family and ours! More posts will follow soon, I promise!

Cochrane Rednecks

My husband, his brother and father and some close friends (The Gallups) performed at Shane Gallup's wedding reception this weekend.  They sang a few 'Canadian' songs to welcome Shane's American bride and family including, "Canada's Really Big" and "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate".  They were a hit!

Picnic Lunch

We visited Dad at his new work today and had a picnic lunch. The kids had so much fun they talked about it for the rest of the week.

Clearly Max is winning this stand-still race and loving it!

Lucy's getting more brave and likes to have under-ducks on the swings now that Uncle Mike showed her how.

Although this may look like Max fell, or is throwing a tantrum, he's actually just laying down in the gravel. He did that for about 5 minutes and then got up and continued playing.

Max's WILD birthday party

We had a jungle themed birthday party for Max because he loves animals.  We had a great day jumping on the trampoline and opening presents.  I think the highlight was when he opened his gift from Emma and Ashley and squealed when he saw that it was a circus train with animals on it.

What a sweet boy.

Apparently Bumpa got just as much out of Max's dinosaur book as he did!

Happy Birthday Max

This is Max waking up on his 1st birthday.  We spent the day in Turner Valley celebrating Easter, but before heading out for the excitement, Max decided to spill the entire box of fruity cheerios on the floor and eat them.

All I could think to do was sigh and take a picture.
