Hershey Park

I must admit, I have been looking forward to today the most.  Amusement parks just bring out the kid in me.  We slept good last night, even though our hotel room was less than desirable.  (We had to keep our shoes on because the carpet was literally so dirty it made our feet black).  It was rainy and cool to start off, but the rain stopped and it ended up being a perfect day at the park.  No worries about too much sun or wearing hats.  The kids had a blast.

Our first rides:

Milton Hershey:

For weeks Logan has been looking at the kids Disneyland photo album.  He keeps asking me if the pictures of Max are him.  When I tell him it's Max standing with Mickey Mouse, Woody, Winnie the Pooh, Lightening McQueen he says, "Aww!  I wanna see those guys!"  He was especially thrilled to be able to meet the Hershey chocolate guys and get a picture with them.

This ended up being Logan's favourite ride.  He rode it....let's just say 'a lot.'

Hershey Park included an amusement park, a water park and a zoo.  Here we are getting ready to go into ZooAmerica which was a zoo based only on animals found in the USA.

After the zoo, Logan and I headed to the van so he could have a nap in his playpen.  I love stow-and-go seating.  Logan calls it his 'hotel bed'.  The kids continued around the park for an hour with dad.  They saw the Hershey Kiss guy:

Went up in the Kissing Tower (which gave a great view of the whole park):

The Ferris Wheel:

And then met back up with us to see these guys:

Here, Max is discovering that Dad went and got cotton candy while they were on a ride.  I'm sure he's worried that Dad will consume it all before he gets off.

Here we are on the mono-rail:

The mono-rail took us outside the park where we got to see the original chocolate factory.  These used to be filled with chocolate!

The Frog Hopper.  The kids loved it.

My camera died at this point...but our adventures did not.  The kids went on their first roller coaster (a real one!) and we all went on a log-ride.  Lucy was nervous (because she's nervous of anything that involves water) but ended up loving it and we went for a second ride.

We finished with a VERY late dinner (9pm) and headed back to the hotel exhausted.  With plans to go to chocolate world tomorrow!
