Chuck-E-Cheese's for a good-night's sleep.

On saturday we set out to buy a new bed. My parent's are coming next week (HOORAY!) and we're getting a queen size bed for Lucy's room so it can double as the guest bedroom. We promised the kid's that it wouldn't be all shopping and that if they were good, we'd go to Chuck-E-Cheese's too. They had a riot. And we bought a bed.

Seriously, lying on bed's and trying to decide which one is going to work for you for years to come is hard to do. Good thing there's a comfort guarantee...but I hope we don't need it. The bed gets delivered on Saturday, so we went out today to get pink bedding for Lucy. I came across a set (blanket and shams and bed-skirt) that was on sale for $37.99 and it was the one Lucy and I both loved the most. Score! We bought some cute polk-a-dot sheets to go with it and we're set...oh, and a princess pillow of course. I can't wait to set it all up and take pictures. We're debating about painting the room. Originally, we thought we'd paint it pink, but now that the bedding is totally pink, it might be a bit much. Something that requires Pepto-Bismol.

Here's some pics from Chuck-E-Cheese's.

They collected all their tickets and fed them into the ticket counter (which makes the most annoying sound). 550 tickets. Then it was time to hem and haw over what prize to choose. Max quickly chose cotton candy and a hammerhead shark, and Lucy (eventually) decided that a purple crown was the best choice.

Logan and I had dropped Tyler and the kids off so they could play while we went home for his nap. When we came back, Tyler told me that he had quickly found the best games that produced the most tickets. He said that if the token to ticket ratio was less than 1:4, then he didn't bother with that game. Seriously, and people wonder why I call him Math-Man. As you can tell by our totally awesome prizes, it was worth it to insist upon the high-ticket games. (this is sarcasm).
But, we had a blast. Our ears were ringing when we left, but the kids were happy and ready to sleep. And so was I. New bed in one week!
