Affinity
Some may already know, and for those who don't, I have started up a business with my Sister-in-law, Ali. The company is called Affinity Designs and we are making hand-crafted jewelry at affordable prices. Our blog for the business is finally up and running and even has pictures...so go take a look. Another Blog Tag from Jake
I saw this on Jake's blog and although I'm not as clever, I'll give it a try
1. What are your middle names? Scott and Leanne.
2. How long have you been together? 10 years 9 months. married for 5 1/2 years.
3. Do you have any children together? Yes. We have 2.
4. What about pets? no...with no plans to get any animal that is higher maintenance than a goldfish.
5. Did you go to the same school? no, he grew up mostly in Cochrane, so we never crossed educational paths.
6. Are you from the same home town? Both born in Calgary, but he spent most of his life in Cochrane.
7. Do you live in the same town now? yes...isn't it kind of awkward if you don't?
8. Who is the smartest? Tyler's the smartest out of most people I've met...although he hasn't mastered the concept of cause and effect...for instance, he doesn't realize that when he mumbles from the couch while watching TV and using his laptop as I am frantically getting the kids ready to go somewhere, "you look frazzled", I will probably look up with 'not the nicest' of glares.
9. Who is the most sensitive? We both have a pretty equal handle on our senses, although his glasses prescription is stronger than mine, but he claims I'm going deaf. (It's just selective hearing)
10. Where is the first place you went to eat as a couple? Our first date was to Simon's, but we weren't really a couple then...I'd say we probably went to BP's or something.
11. Do you wear matching clothes? Never intentionally, but often.
12. Where is the farthest you have traveled as a couple? Does this mean without kids? We went to Lake Powell in Utah...that is about as far as we've gone.
13. Who has the craziest exes? Neither one of us has 'crazy' exes, but Tyler's siblings tell me that I'm the best girl he ever dated (thanks), so I'd say him...wait, not that my family thinks I've dated better guys then Tyler. Hmm.
14. Who has the worst temper? It depends on who got the most sleep, or whose sibling is bugging us.
15. Who does the cooking? Me...we like to eat more than foods that only require microwaving for 90 seconds.
16. Who's more social? Tyler
17. Who is the neat freak? I'm the one that cleans the house, but every once and a while Tyler can get freaky about cleaning...it lasts a few days and then leaves us again for months, only to show up when you least expect it. I think he gets weird bursts of domestic energy every once in a while.
18.Who is the most affectionate? Tyler
19. Who is the most stubborn? That's pretty equal, but I won't say me.
20. Who wakes up earlier? Usually me. My 'getting ready' process involves blow-drying my hair, so it makes sense for me to be up first, plus our hot water tank is small, so I like to ensure my shower has plenty.
21.Where was your first date? A little restaurant called Simon's with some friends. We went back to my friend's house after to play cards. Tyler was wearing a grey golf shirt and looked particularly handsome.
22.Who said I love you first? Me. It was pretty lame-o cheezy, but we were 17 so not much more can be expected. But now, Tyler's usually the first to say I love you.
23.How did you spend your 1st year anniversary? I don't remember, probably moving, because we always ended up moving in August. One-year rental agreements always seem to coincide with anniversaries.
24. Who has the bigger family? Tyler's family has bigger mouths, and according to Lucy recently, Grandma Janielee is getting 'old and chubby', but the Bourne's out number them.
25. Who is younger? Tyler
26. Who is the life of the party? It depends on the party.
27. Who do you hope your kids turn out more like? I'd say a fine balance. Tyler's really smart and has a lot of ambition and a really strong work-ethic, but I'm sweet, nice, polite and everything the Relief Society would hope me to be. Although my kids' table manners are more reflective of their dad, which is a disappointment.
28. Who wears the pants in the family? We both do. Tyler's are 'tough' jeans and mine are 'stretchy' yoga pants, but if we're speaking of who makes the rules, then I'm tough and Tyler is a bit more stretchy. Just like in a true democracy, we let 'the people' decide...and Lucy says mom's the boss.
29. Whats your favorite thing to do together? watch movies after the kids have gone to bed.
30. Do you have the same political views? Yes.
31. Who has the most stuff? Tyler. In all aspects. More shoes, more clothes, more books, more toys, more stuff, stuff, stuff!
32. Who controls the remote? that's a tough call in our house. Both of us want to control the remote, but neither one of us stoops to 'remote' fights, so it's an unspoken inner turmoil when the other has possession.
33. Who does the driving? Since we live in Cochrane we do a lot of driving to get anywhere. I'm definitely the driver most of the time, because Lucy and Max can't reach the peddles and stearing wheel at the same time, but if Tyler is with us, he usually drives.
34. Who takes out the garbage? me...although a remember some sort of promise at marriage that he would do garbage and I would do bathrooms...
35. Who does the cleaning? I do. House, cars, garbages, bathrooms, yards (stuff, stuff, stuff - see #31) and butts...but I let Tyler take care of his own.

37. Who is the funniest? Me, and I remind Tyler often.

Just Because
I'm posting, not because I have a lot to share these days, but just because this is the cutest and possibly the funniest picture I've ever seen. Max enjoys playing with Lucy...too much.
